King’s Home Serve Day July 2014

December 5, 2014

We love to support King’s Home for all of the great work they do to help youth, women and mothers with children who are at risk. So we asked Lew Burdette with King’s Home if they had any electrical needs we could help out with. Lew said King’s Home had recently been given a ceramics kiln by a very generous supporter and they really needed it to be wired up. They also were creating a crafts room to paint the ceramics after being fired in the kiln and needed some new lighting in the room as well as new lighting in the garage around the kiln. So when Church of the Highlands held it’s annual Serve Day in July we decided to provide everything necessary to get the kiln wired in and provided all the new lighting for the project. To learn more about King’s Home check out Team members Bobbie Boyer, Andrew Davenport, Chad King, Kevin Murry, Gabe Adkins, Carol Adkins and Kerry Adkins volunteered their time to get everything installed and working. The kiln will be used by residents of King’s Home as well as special needs individuals as therapy. We had a great time helping out a great cause.
