The Village was founded in January 2008 and is a 501(c)3 non-profit  ministry.

The Village now runs a nine to twelve month intensive faith-based residential program that ministers to men and women- living at multiple addresses near downtown Birmingham.

Participants in the residential program come from:

Judges who court order them as an alternative sentence

Parole boards Community Corrections

Self-check in by those who hear of the ministry

Referrals from churches and other local ministries

Now, The Village has broadened its focus to address other needs downtown as well…
